Exceptionally simple to use a great tool for our busy animal shelter

I am a veterinarian working in a very large, high-volume animal shelter, and anything that makes obtaining basic diagnostic information faster and easier is valuable to us. I was genuinely impressed with how simple this monitor was to use right out of the box.

It includes three different cuffs and has three clearly marked buttons on the front for cats, small dogs and large dogs. Select the appropriate patient category, use the corresponding cuff, and the monitor does the rest. Even the batteries are included, which was a nice touch. There is very little learning curve.

For our first patient, we used it on a relaxed cat. We placed the appropriate cuff on his tail and covered him loosely with a blanket to keep him comfortable and calm. The process didn't appear to bother him at all. We simply selected the cat setting and obtained a reading quickly and easily. Since obtaining multiple readings is important when assessing blood pressure in a patient, we repeated the measurement several times and were able to obtain multiple readings in a short period with ease.

In a shelter environment with a large number of patients, ease of use and efficiency really matter. This unit is compact, straightforward and quick enough that I can see us reaching for it regularly rather than avoiding blood pressure measurements because the process is cumbersome.

Our initial experience with it has been excellent, and we're very happy to have this as part of our clinical equipment.

At Home Blood Pressure Monitoring Means Less Stress and More Accurate Results

Knowing your pets blood pressure can come in handy. Heart failure dogs and kidney cats /dogs need to have their blood pressure monitored frequently. Doing it from home reduces stress and yields more accurate results.

This blood pressure monitor is easy to use and accurate. It's non invasive and leaves your fur babies more relaxed and happy.

Works for me on my 16yo lab. Needs multiple readings.

My 16yo pup was recently diagnosed with a couple very small brain bleeds so I decided to start monitoring her blood pressure. This device is perfect for that. As a former people EMT, I was able to figure it out pretty easily and fortunately my pup didn't seem to mind the process. So far the results have been unremarkable. Yay! Until I ordered this I'd never thought about the fact that none of my vets have ever routinely taken my pup's blood pressure. Apparently that isn't a vital that is relevant in normal veterinary medicine. I imagine it's used primarily when a pet is under anesthesia. As other reviewers have mentioned, multiple readings are necessary. But I've found the entire process takes less than 10 minutes and it's given me peace of mind that, so far, my pup shows no sign of hypertension.

Easy to Use and Includes a Cuff Small Enough for Our Tiny Yorkie

We have a sweet 18-year-old dog, and as soon as I saw this veterinary blood pressure monitor, I immediately thought of her. As our pets get older, I like having tools available that can help us keep a closer eye on them between veterinary visits.

I was impressed by how easy this monitor is to operate. It looks and feels much more like something I would expect to see in a veterinary or doctor's office than a basic home-use device.

One of the biggest advantages for us is the range of cuff sizes. We have very small dogs, including a Yorkie that's only around 3 pounds, and having a cuff that can accommodate such a tiny leg is important. Larger standard cuffs simply aren't useful when your pets are that small.

I can see this being particularly useful in homes with senior animals or pets being treated for heart, autoimmune or other medical conditions where a veterinarian has recommended monitoring blood pressure at home. Obviously, readings from a home device aren't a substitute for veterinary care, but having the ability to collect information at home can be useful when working with your vet.

Considering the equipment and technology included, I think it's priced very reasonably. It's easy to use, comes with multiple cuff options, and feels like a quality piece of equipment.

Our 18-year-old girl deserves every bit of extra attention we can give her, and I'm glad to have this available for her.

Easy to read. Reads well. Everything works.

This works great and stays on without falling off. The monitor is bright and clear, and the readings have been pretty spot on. I compared them to our older monitor and they were very close. It is just as loud as a human blood pressure monitor, but if you ease your pet into it, I havent had any issues. Its easy to put together and take apart too. I do wish it came with a storage bag though, because there are quite a few pieces to keep track of.

simple

Simple to use, works great, clear and easy to read. The biggest issue is trying to actually get your pet to sit still to use it. If you have a sick pet or one who is staying still already, this works pretty well. Just select the correct cuff and take up to 200 measurements per profile, after which they'll start overwriting. If not, good luck getting them to sit still.

Because Apparently My Pets Need a Blood Pressure Cuff Too

As someone with large dogs, I find having additional pet-care tools interesting, and this monitor includes three cuff sizes for different animals. The large backlit display makes readings easier to see, while the memory storage can help keep track of measurements over time. I would still rely on my veterinarian for diagnosis and treatment, but I appreciate having a device designed specifically for monitoring dogs and cats at home.

I didn't even know this was a thing

This blood pressure monitor is a really useful tool for keeping track of my pet's blood pressure at home. I like that it comes with three different cuff sizes, making it easier to get a comfortable fit for different pets. The large backlit LCD display is easy to read, and the automatic operation makes it simple to use. The memory feature is also convenient for keeping track of previous readings instead of having to write everything down. It feels well designed and gives me a convenient way to monitor readings between veterinary visits.

Interesting and compact

Im giving this blood pressure monitor five stars, even though I cant say with absolute certainty how accurate the readings are.

Ive noticed some variation between readings taken on the same dog, so Im not entirely sure how precise the measurements are. However, I brought the monitor to my veterinarian to get her opinion, and she was quite intrigued by it. In fact, she was interested enough that she mentioned considering purchasing one for her own practice!

While that doesnt necessarily validate its accuracy, I thought it was encouraging that a veterinary professional found the device interesting enough to consider using it.

I think having a blood pressure monitor at home is a great idea, particularly for dog owners who want to be proactive about their pets health. Even if the readings arent perfectly accurate, I like the idea of having a way to monitor changes over time, provided the measurements are reasonably consistent.

Of course, I wouldnt rely on this device to diagnose a medical problem or replace a veterinary examination. Any concerning readings should be confirmed by a veterinarian.

I think this is a useful tool to have on hand, and I appreciate the ability to keep a closer eye on another aspect of my dogs health, what I would not use this to replace taking your dog to a Vet Veterinarian if theres something wrong

Dog & Cat Blood Pressure Monitor, Automatic Digital Pet BP Machine

This pet blood pressure monitor has a professional presentation and looks much like a standard digital BP machine, with a colorful box featuring realistic pictures of cats and dogs. The unit is mostly plastic and silicone, with a practical design that seems well suited for checking blood pressure in both cats and dogs. One thing I really like is that it includes two manuals: a more detailed version for professional use and a simplified guide for everyday users. The appearance is pretty basic, but this is clearly a case where function matters more than looks. My biggest hesitation is the price, which seems high for the quality of machine your are getting. Human BP monitors are less expensive at that level of quality. Overall, it looks like a specialized piece of equipment with useful documentation, but the added cost is worth considering.

A practical tool to discuss with the vet

I like the potential of taking measurements at home and showing the trend to a veterinarian. I would not use the numbers alone to change medication or make a diagnosis.

Useful for tracking trends

The memory feature is one of the most appealing parts of this monitor. Rather than relying on a single number, multiple readings could be reviewed with a veterinarian over time.

Useful monitor for different pet sizes

This pet blood pressure monitor is easy to set up and the three cuff sizes make it useful for small, medium and larger pets. The backlit screen is easy to read and the automatic operation keeps the process more straightforward than a manual setup. I also like the large memory capacity which makes it easier to track readings over time. The different cuff options are especially helpful in a multi-pet household. It is a practical home monitoring tool and offers good value for the money.

Readable without squinting

A large illuminated screen is a real advantage when the pet is on the floor and the monitor is set beside you. It makes it easier to see all the values without moving everything around.

Three cuffs make this kit versatile

Having small, medium and large cuffs in one box is a practical idea for a household with both cats and dogs. I would check the limb circumference carefully before selecting one.

A little patience is required

It seems straightforward to operate, but getting a nervous cat to remain still may take some practice. A quiet room and a comfortable position would probably make the process easier.

Not an instant process

Getting a reliable blood pressure reading from a moving pet sounds harder than pressing a button. I would expect to allow time for the pet to settle and for repeated measurements.

Easy to read display

The large backlit numbers would be helpful when checking a pet in a dim room. The layout looks simple, with systolic, diastolic and pulse shown together. Cuff fit and keeping the animal still would still be important.

Z
ZVFG5
A good fit for careful pet owners

This is the sort of equipment that seems most useful for someone willing to learn the proper measurement process. Reading the manual and taking several calm readings would be part of that.

f

Convenient for record keeping

It is nice to have onboard storage instead of keeping loose pieces of paper around. I would still keep a separate log identifying the pet and the circumstances of each measurement.

The cuff assortment stands out

A single-size cuff would be limiting if there were multiple pets in the house. Including three options makes the kit more adaptable, though the size chart should still be followed.

Bright enough to use at night

The backlight would be helpful for late evening checks without turning on every room light. Large numbers also make it easier for two people to read the result together.
